My name is Slava and I am the owner of Decadence Salon. I opened the salon in May 2011 with the help of Mark whom I have known for over 20 years. I have met Mark while working in Tony and Guy salon in Ealing as a receptionist. I have always wanted to open my own salon and when the opportunity came I just couldn’t resist it. I suggested to Mark to come along in this venture with me and he happily accepted the challenge.

My idea was to open a salon where we can create a space for clients to feel comfortable and at ease. The interior was designed with the mind of creating a serene and cosy ambient with French style mirrors and subtle lighting. A space where you can come and relax and let me and my team look after you.

I have handpicked the team. I always look for people who have something special to give because it is not just about haircuts and colours. Hairdressing is so much more. A good stylist has to have the ability to listen and truly understand what a client wants. Even when a client doesn’t know what they want, the stylist has to take the lead and in honest and clear manner explain what they think would suit someone and deliver the final result with perfection.

Also, I believe in choosing good quality products. Everything we use in the salon has been tested on us and we only work with brands that deliver their promise. Hence, we stock Kevin Murphy retail range as well as colours. We also have Olaplex and Label m products.

I warmly invite you to Decadence if you haven’t been before. My team and myself will do our absolutely best to make you feel and look great.

Mark holds the position of the most senior member at Decadence Salon. He has been fundamental in creating the name and the Decadence brand from the very beginning, so he knows ins and outs of the salon. Mark knows majority of our clients and they know him. He is the household name and face.

Mark started hairdressing at the tender age of 17 when he saw an advertisement for ‘model required’ in a salon window (Tony and Guy) thinking they were looking fashion models. He soon realised it is not the same kind of modelling but Mark applied never the less and having experienced a brilliant haircut and how a professional salon works, decided to start the apprenticeship with Tony and Guy. After finishing his NVQ2, Mark stayed with the company for the next 15 years. He build a long client list. Those same clients who went to see Mark in Ealing and Golders Green still come to see Mark in Decadence Salon. It is simple. They never trusted anyone else with their hair and this says a lot about Mark as a hairdresser and a friend.

Mark mastered customer service and professionalism in Tony and Guy. He picked the very best from them and brought it with him to Decadence. Mark is creative, hardworking, loyal, realistic and fair. His hairdressing skills are second to none. His scissors are huge and he knows how to handle them. His colleagues look up to Mark.

I asked Mark to name some of specialities and without hesitation he said:

‘Precision haircuts – I love doing bobs, undercuts, short ladies haircuts. Choppy and edgy hairstyles too.

Gents cutting and staying. I can do scissors over comb all over or clippers although I prefer the scissors. Also, fading is something I really enjoy.

Restyles are something that excites me the most. I just love visualising clients with something totally different. Fresh, new cut is the best feeling ever.

Another passion of mine is curly and wavy hair. Cutting curls is just great and exciting.’

Born and bred in Canada, with 15 years of experience under her belt, Tracy joined Decadence in March 2016. She settled in quickly and managed to build an impressive client portfolio in a short space of time. Tracy started hairdressing straight after finishing school. She soon realised she made the right choice. This gave her the tools to showcase her creativity; and hairdressing was a way of expressing her ideas and visions through colour. Before moving to London and joining Decadence salon, Tracy travelled the world throughout her career to Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Bali just to name a few. She finally settle in in UK and chose to try her luck in London.

Tracy specializes in colour and this is where all her passion goes. Tracy completed The Kevin Murphy Colour Master course last year, giving her tools to understand how the salon colour range works inside and out. If you are looking for a stylist who is going to be thorough and systematic look no further. Tracy is excellent at consultations. She never over promises and believes in complete honesty and transparency. Taking care of your hair after a salon visit is something Tracy strongly believes in. Therefore, if you have concerns and need advice Tracy is always there to help and guide you.

When asked to name some of her specialties, Tracy replied:

‘I really enjoy colour changes that transforms the whole dynamic of the style and to enhance the client’s best self.

Free hand work is one of my favourite with a natural and effortless result; as it gives me a challenge to put in practice what the client wants. Meeting their expectations is what I strive for. It is really great to see the final result and the smile on my clients face.

Colour correction is another great challenge that allows me to push the boundaries. The harder the challenge the better.

I also really enjoy creating textured cuts and up dos/event hair’

Arch started in Decadence in July 2017. He is our newest team member although even after couple of months working alongside us, it had felt we knew Arch for some time already. Arch found his feet in the salon quite quickly and straight away felt comfortable working with the team.

Arch comes from a hairdressing family. His mum is a hairdresser back in his home town in Estonia and he started helping his mum from the early age of 13. He just followed the natural path and qualified as a hairdresser.

Upon coming to London 7 years ago, Arch joined the team in the famous Michael John salon in Mayfair and worked there under the wing of few big hairdressing names. That is where he learned his trade. Cutting, colouring and styling.

Arch is a no nonsense hair stylist. If you are after an honest opinion regarding your haircut, colour or aftercare, Arch is your man. Be assured that you will leave the salon with a great cut and colour. And your blow dry will be smooth and bouncy for a while.

I asked Arch to what he enjoys most and he said:

‘I really enjoy creating a range of colours from classic honey blondes to soft dip dye looks.

Modern styles such as beach waves and lovely long blow dries that can worn on every occasion.

I like to immerse myself in creating colour changes and intensive and long colour corrections. These are the challenges that I absolutely look forward together with my clients. I love going through these processes with them and seeing the final result.

I pride myself on in depth knowledge of our Kevin Murphy retail range for home care. I particularly like the in salon treatments which we do with hot towel and a head massage. If your hair needs restoring and repair, I am here to help’.
